    Overview

    Otterz, a U.S.-based fintech startup, is looking for a driven and analytical Product Strategy and Operations resource to join our growing team. The candidate must come from a consulting background, preferably from top consulting firms like McKinsey, Bain & Co. We are seeking a candidate who is eager to work in the fintech space and can work remotely.


    Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute product strategies, including product positioning, pricing, and features.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
    • Work closely with the engineering and design teams to ensure product development aligns with the product strategy.
    • Analyze product performance and identify areas for improvement, optimization, and growth.
    • Develop and maintain financial models to support product strategy and business planning.
    • Influence the crucial growth metrics of the company.
    • Working closely with the founders and helping them in important decision making.

    Requirement

    • 2-8 years of experience in management consulting, preferably with top consulting firms such as McKinsey, Bain & Co.,Oliver Wyman or similar.
    • Experience in fintech products and developing product strategies.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and derive insights.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
    • Self-starter with a can-do attitude and a desire to work in a fast-paced, startup environment.
    • Motivation to move to U.S (although this is not necessary).

    Bonus Points, if you have:

    • 1-2 years of experience at a start up.
    • Roles at the intersection of business, Banking and payments product and B2B SaaS.
    • Driving both strategic and tactical decision making.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Collecting and analysing feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to create a road map and deliver on it.
    • Managing all life-cycle stages for a product from ideation through sunset, ensuring that deliverables are understood, releases are delivered on time, and users are engaged.
    • Ideation of creative features/capabilities that push the boundaries.
    • Developing and maintaining an understanding of the company's products, market, and competition.
    • Developing product positioning and go to market strategy.
    • Keeping abreast of the goings-on in the industry.
    • Making creative recommendations to expand the product base and vision.
    • Defining and tracking key usage metrics of your products to improve them.
    • Required to work hand in hand with technical team and will need to conduct testing as well as guide UI / UX development.

    Desired Profile

    • 2+ years of hands-on PM experience.
    • Needs to be technical and have ability to read technical documents.
    • FinTech experience is nice to have but not necessary.
    • Experience driving product improvements by using all types of learning: user testing, data analysis, A/B testing.
    • Familiarity with tools and frameworks (Jira, Confluence, Agile, Scrum etc.) Prefer CSPO applicants.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling Otterz banking and payments to small business clients in their local geography in the U.S. Applications are welcome only from those candidates residing in San Francisco, CA.


    Responsibilities

    • Work with leadership team and Sales lead to identify leads.
    • Prospect leads based on best fit and close deals.
    • Build relationship with existing and new customers.
    • Product demo and installation and integration (in coordination with the support team) at the customer’s site, educating them about Otterz offering and benefits.
    • Establishing onboarding process for merchants and develop required documentation.

    Important: This is an In-field job, hence you would be required to manage your own time and schedule. We would measure you by outcomes not output!


    Domain Expertise

    • 1-5 years of experience in selling payments is preferred but not necessary.
    • Prior experience working at or owning a small business preferred.
    • Familiarity with banking and payments needs of small businesses a plus.
    • Bonus Point, if you are familiar with the technical setup and functioning OR done sales for POS Hardware product like Verifone, PAX, Magtek, clover, etc.
    • Familiarity with eCommerce payments and payment gateways.
